Mike Gillespie

Mike navigates the ever-evolving wholesale unbranded fuel channel for Cary Oil and has just the experience required. He is a second-generation petroleum marketer (Mike’s father was a 50-year industry veteran) so you could say that fuel is in his blood.

He started his own path in sales, and worked in that capacity for GNC Energy, Carolina Petroleum Distributors, Texas City Refining, Basis Petroleum, and Koch Industries/Flint Hills Resources over an almost 30-year career prior to joining Cary Oil. At Cary Oil, Mike was a successful Wholesale Account Manager before taking over the helm of the unbranded channel. He has earned the utmost respect from peers and partners alike.

Mike personifies the term ‘family man.’ His two daughters and three grandchildren are central in his life. He and his wife Cindy have been married over 40 years, and have been members at Myers Memorial Methodist Church for almost that long.

Mike, his wife, and both daughters are proud graduates of Western Carolina University, where Mike got his BSBA with a concentration in Economics. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mike has called Gastonia, North Carolina home for over four decades. When he gets some free time, he enjoys camping, fishing, and exploring The Great Smoky Mountains.
